Yoga in the Salt Room
West Valley Wellness Center is integrating two ancient healing practices, Yoga and Salt Therapy.
We will now have 2 different Yoga classes once a week in the Salt Room. One of the classes is Yin Yoga and the Other is Chair Yoga.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a calming and stretching style of yoga that focuses on allowing the body to melt into the poses. Each sitting and supported pose is held for approximately 2-3 minutes to allow for a deep and complete stretch of the muscles, tendons and fascia.
Benefits of Yin Yoga include; increase flexibility and circulation, improve joint mobility, calms body and mind, and reduce stress and anxiety.
What is Chair Yoga?
Chair Yoga is a modified version of Yin Yoga poses to be done while seated in a chair. Enjoying all the benefits of Yin Yoga.
What is Salt Therapy?
Salt therapy also called halotherapy, is a therapeutic and 100% natural, drug-free and non-invasive treatment. Salt therapy is a method of inhaling pure, dry, micronized salt air particles. These particles reach the deepest area of the lungs absorbing bacteria and pollutants and providing an anti-inflammatory and cleansing effect.
This process supports and strengthens the body’s immune system by eliminating toxins and allergens that are trapped within the mucus lining of the respiratory system.
