"The stress response: in the beginning it saved our lives, making us run from predators and enabling us to take down prey. Today, human beings are turning on the same life-saving physical reaction to cope with 30-year mortgages, $4 a gallon gasoline, final exams, difficult bosses and even traffic jams — we can't seem to turn it off. So, we're constantly marinating in corrosive hormones triggered by the stress response.
"For 3,000 years before the birth of Christ, frankincense was more valuable than gold. Its sweet smelling aromatic smoke was treasured by Pharaohs and Caesars, and their insatiable demand for frankincense created a trade route from the southern coast of Oman to the Holy Lands. Vast camel caravans carried thousands of tons of frankincense over tribal lands - known today as Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Israel and Palestine." (Reference)
The surface of the Earth holds subtle health-boosting energy. All we have to do is touch it and become truly alive. In the documentary film Grounded, you can see this amazing phenomenon transform the life of people who had been struggling with health issues like chronic pain, and one man who had been wheelchair-bound for decades is able to walk again.
Even plants are drastically impacted when they are taken away from the Earth’s natural energy. Yet, the act of grounding, or Earthing, as it’s sometimes called, isn’t really an unusual phenomenon at all. It’s actually a natural act that virtually every living creature does instinctively. Labyrinths are located all over the world. Labyrinths are known to be used in many cultures as a tool for meditation, centering and healing. It has been said that labyrinth is a path of prayer for all people seeking the Divine, regardless of the particular tradition in which one stands. The winding path is a metaphor for the journey to the center of our deeper self and back out into the world with a broadened understanding of who we are from a spiritual stand point. Here is a short video of a guided walk through the history and mystery of the meditative labyrinth at Edgar Cayces A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, Va. If you are interested in locating a labyrinth near you, here is a great website where you can search different areas. http://labyrinthlocator.com/locate-a-labyrinth This is one of my favorite talks by Jill Bolte Taylor, a brain scientist, who had a massive stroke and was able to observe herself from inside out... feeling every move, sound and self awareness as her brain functions shut down. After many years of recovering from the stork she was able to come through with an Amazing story to share her experience and wisdom of the power we hold inside of us. "Thinking has only led to more thinking and more questions. We seek to know the innermost forces which create the world and guide its course. But we conceive of this essence as outside of ourselves, not as a living thing, intrinsic to our own nature. It was the famous psychiatrist Carl Jung who said, "one who looks outside dreams, one who looks inside awakes." It is not wrong to desire to be awake, to be happy. What is wrong is to look for happiness outside when it can only be found inside." Part 1 - Akasha

Clemens, MI is a spring of miraculous mineral water about 600 million years old. At the turn of the 20th century, locals discovered the healing benefits of bathing in this water. People came from far and wide to relax and rejuvenate their bodies in the incredible waters of Mt. Clemens. The bathing business grew to great heights almost 140 years ago but mysteriously shut down after big medicine came on the scene. Somehow, the well stood stagnant for years and the bath houses closed down. But now, one company has re-opened the well and is using these healing waters in their new line of natural creams and bath products. The healing attributes of the Mt. Clemens baths are now available in a take home form with Ache Away." |
